Your child is being invited to join a small group this winter and spring focusing on math and on general study skills. This special group will meet once per week for an hour beginning in February and running through the beginning of April. This group is only for Fifth Grade students and is designed to help improve performance in math. Fifth grade is a gateway year when it comes to the CRCT, which means that students who do not pass the test, face the possibility of retention next year. Therefore, we need to ensure that we are doing all that we can to provide them with enough support so that they can meet test standards and move forward to sixth grade.
To avoid missing instructional time in their studies, the group will be held around lunchtime.
If you would like your child to participate in this opportunity, please complete the form sent home and return it to your child’s teacher as soon as possible. Students cannot participate in this opportunity without a completed permission form.
If you have any questions regarding this small group, please do not hesitate to call us at (770) 740-7015.
